Dev Blog Week 5


Introduction

This week, we are working on planning features to be implemented for our upcoming Alpha release, the current progress is a bit lacking and we will be pushing out more features so that after Alpha phase, we will have a game with almost complete features for us to start iterative play testings.

Zhenxin

  • Refine Grid system
  • Implement dynamic spawn point
  • Prevent Tower to block the enemy path
  • Implement High Score system

Yuki

  • Implement Tower 3D models into the game
  • Implement Tower VFX
  • Implement Enemy 3D models
  • Implement Enemy animation
  • Refine UI designs and implement them

Germaine

  • Refine UI designs and implement them
  • Add card mechanic
  • Pause function
  • Refine Deck system
  • Refine the look on the player’s hand in the game

Gordon

  • Implement SFX for UI, Enemy and Tower
  • Implement background music
  • Implement ML into enemy AI system

Yu An

  • Game design document
  • Dev blogs
  • Aid Gordon with implementing enemy AI with ML
  • Add more variations on land tiles
  • Beautify the scene (post processing, camera angle, etc)


Our team will also be giving group feedbacks for other teams in the same course. At the same time each individual will do a reflection to reflect on the Prototype phase and do a post mortem.
