Dev Blog Week 2


Introduction

So after a week of ideation, our team has come up with a game idea. There are 4 tracks that we can choose from for this project, and our team chose to do the Commercialisation track where we build the game as if we are aiming for market release. Also, we are recommended to use AI/Machine Learning in the game project and our team has decided to include as part of the gameplay implementation.

Below are some of the details to our games. We have already started planning the features and currently working on a prototype. Follow us for more updates as we go about implementing our ideas into a game :D

Game overview

Get Out of My Land! is a new Rogue-like, Tower Defence 3D game with PvE and PvP elements.

It is a unique game where we expose the player to old school building style where you build and upgrade towers and, at the same time infused with new and exciting features like unique deck system and expandable territory.

The flow of the game goes by the player build its own deck, use the deck to build towers or expand territory, defeat enemies and upgrade the player’s deck.

Backstory

The King of the Sky Kingdom has assigned all his heirs a plot of land and the one that expands the land the most gets the throne. You are an heir to King of the Sky Kingdom, along with 100 of your evil siblings. Do you best to defend your land as your evil siblings attempt to sabotage your progress and destroy your land.

What’s Happening

We are given 3 weeks to create a prototype for the idea that we’ve presented. The time is really tight but we hope to produce a working prototype by the end of this time frame. Our team chose to use Agile and Scrum as a framework for our project workflow.
